COMMUNITY EVENT: AI in healthcare

The session features Claudio Garutti, AI Specialist at Google, who will share key developments in health AI and discuss the evolution from traditional AI (“Wave 2”) to GenAI (“Wave 3”), including benefits, limitations, and failure modes. He will also explain how innovation from Google Research and Google DeepMind is brought to healthcare organizations via Google Cloud.

To ground the discussion in practice, Simon Elliott Thomassen, CEO & Co-founder of NordInsight, will share hands-on experience deploying open-source medical LLMs locally in healthcare workflows. He will cover integration into real clinical processes, early results and failure modes, and the broader challenges of deployment, regulation, and risk management—including the emergence of “shadow AI.”

Whether you are just starting out or already developing your next product iteration, this session will offer practical insights, shared learning, and discussion with peers. The event concludes with a short survey and networking over breakfast.
